The Old Bridge
The Old Bridge, also known as Stari Most, is a historic arch bridge located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Originally built in the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire, it spans the Neretva River and connects the two sides of the city. The bridge is renowned for its stunning architecture and has become a symbol of Mostar.
The bridge was destroyed during the Bosnian War in 1993 but was reconstructed and reopened in 2004. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting tourists and visitors who admire its beauty and the surrounding old town, which reflects a blend of Ottoman and Mediterranean influences.
