The Old Bridge (Mostar)
The Old Bridge, known as Stari Most, is a historic arch bridge located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Originally built in the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire, it connected the two sides of the city over the Neretva River. The bridge is renowned for its stunning architecture and has become a symbol of Mostar.
In 1993, the Old Bridge was destroyed during the Bosnian War but was reconstructed and reopened in 2004. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts visitors from around the world, showcasing the rich cultural history of the region.
