Stari Most
Stari Most, or the Old Bridge, is a historic arch bridge located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Originally built in the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire, it spans the Neretva River and is renowned for its stunning architecture and cultural significance. The bridge was a vital connection between the two sides of the city and a symbol of unity.
In 1993, Stari Most was destroyed during the Bosnian War, but it was reconstructed and reopened in 2004. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts visitors from around the world, who come to admire its beauty and learn about its rich history.
