Teutons
The Teutons were a group of ancient Germanic tribes known for their warrior culture and migration patterns. They are often associated with the broader Germanic peoples and played a significant role in the history of Europe during the late Iron Age and early Roman period. The Teutons are particularly noted for their conflicts with the Roman Republic, especially during the Cimbrian War in the late 2nd century BCE.
In 113 BCE, the Teutons, along with the Cimbri, invaded Roman territories, leading to several battles. Their defeat at the hands of Roman generals like Gaius Marius marked a turning point in Roman military history. The Teutons eventually disappeared as a distinct group, assimilating into other tribes and cultures over time.
