Testicular Torsion
Testicular torsion is a medical condition that occurs when the spermatic cord, which supplies blood to the testicle, twists and cuts off its blood supply. This can lead to severe pain and swelling in the affected testicle. It is most common in adolescent boys but can occur at any age.
If not treated quickly, testicular torsion can result in permanent damage or loss of the testicle. Symptoms often include sudden, intense pain, nausea, and abdominal discomfort. Immediate medical attention is crucial to restore blood flow and prevent complications.
