Tepeu
Tepeu is a significant figure in the mythology of the ancient Maya civilization. He is often associated with creation and is considered one of the gods responsible for shaping the world. In various texts, Tepeu collaborates with other deities to bring forth life and establish order in the universe.
In the Popol Vuh, a sacred book of the Maya, Tepeu is depicted as a wise and powerful creator. He engages in dialogue with Gucumatz, another god, to conceive the world and its inhabitants. Their discussions lead to the formation of the earth, plants, animals, and ultimately, humanity.
