Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan III
Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan III was the 48th Imam of the Nizari Ismaili branch of Shia Islam. Born on November 2, 1877, in Karachi, he became the Imam in 1885 and served until his death in 1957. He was known for his efforts in promoting education, social welfare, and economic development within the Ismaili community.
Aga Khan III was also a prominent political figure and played a significant role in the Indian independence movement. He was a founding member of the All-India Muslim League and advocated for the rights of Muslims in India.
