All-India Muslim League
The All-India Muslim League was a political party in British India, founded in 1906. Its primary aim was to represent the interests of Muslims in the region and to promote their political rights. The League played a significant role in the Indian independence movement and advocated for the establishment of a separate nation for Muslims.
In 1940, the League formally adopted the Lahore Resolution, demanding the creation of an independent state for Muslims, which later led to the formation of Pakistan in 1947. Key figures in the League included Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who became the first Governor-General of Pakistan.
