Ismaili Imams
Ismaili Imams are spiritual leaders in the Ismaili branch of Shia Islam. They are considered the direct descendants of the Prophet Muhammad through his cousin and son-in-law, Ali. Each Imam is believed to possess divine knowledge and guidance, playing a crucial role in interpreting the faith and leading the community.
The current Imam, Aga Khan IV, has held the position since 1957. Ismaili Imams are responsible for the spiritual and material well-being of their followers, providing guidance on ethical and social issues. They also promote education, health, and community development initiatives worldwide.
