Sugar Mill
A sugar mill is a facility where sugarcane or sugar beets are processed to extract sugar. The process involves crushing the raw plants to release their juice, which is then purified and concentrated through various methods, including boiling and crystallization. The end product is granulated sugar, which is widely used in food and beverages.
In addition to sugar production, sugar mills often produce by-products such as molasses and bagasse. Molasses is a thick syrup used in baking and as a sweetener, while bagasse is the fibrous residue that can be used for energy or as animal feed.
