Sleepwalking
Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism, is a behavior disorder that occurs during sleep, where a person walks or performs other complex behaviors while still asleep. It typically happens during the deep sleep stage and can last for a few seconds to several minutes. Sleepwalkers may have their eyes open but are usually unaware of their surroundings and may not remember the episode afterward.
This condition is more common in children but can also affect adults. Factors such as stress, sleep deprivation, and certain medications can trigger sleepwalking episodes. While generally harmless, it can lead to accidents or injuries if the sleepwalker encounters obstacles.
