Simien Mountains National Park
Simien Mountains National Park is located in northern Ethiopia and is known for its stunning landscapes, including dramatic cliffs, deep valleys, and unique wildlife. Established in 1969, it covers an area of approximately 220 square kilometers and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is home to several endemic species, such as the Gelada baboon and the Walia ibex.
The park's highest peak, Ras Dashen, rises to 4,550 meters, making it the tallest mountain in Ethiopia. Visitors can enjoy trekking and hiking through the diverse terrain, which features a mix of grasslands, forests, and rocky outcrops.
