Bale Mountains National Park is located in the southeastern part of Ethiopia. Established in 1970, it covers an area of approximately 2,400 square kilometers. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including alpine meadows, forests, and wetlands, which provide habitat for various wildlife species. The park is home to the endemic Ethiopian wolf, the world's rarest canid, as well as other animals like the Bale monkey and numerous bird species. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and exploring the stunning landscapes, including the impressive Sanetti Plateau and the scenic Harenna Forest.
