Sikh Prayers
Sikh prayers are an essential part of the Sikh faith, focusing on devotion, meditation, and community. They are often recited from the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, which contains hymns and teachings from the Gurus and other saints. Prayers can be performed individually or collectively, often during religious gatherings at Gurdwaras.
The most common prayer is the Japji Sahib, composed by Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. Sikhs also engage in Ardas, a prayer for the welfare of all, and Kirtan, the singing of hymns. These practices foster a sense of unity and spiritual connection among followers.
