Japji Sahib
Japji Sahib is a sacred prayer composed by Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. It serves as the opening section of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhs. The prayer consists of a series of hymns that convey spiritual teachings and emphasize the importance of meditation, truth, and the oneness of God.
Recited daily by many Sikhs, Japji Sahib is structured in a poetic form and includes 38 stanzas, known as pauris. It highlights the significance of living a truthful life and encourages followers to seek divine wisdom. The prayer is often recited in the early morning as part of daily spiritual practice.
