Severnaya Zemlya
Severnaya Zemlya is an archipelago located in the Arctic Ocean, north of Russia. It is the largest group of islands in the Russian Arctic and consists of several islands, including Bol'shevik Island, October Revolution Island, and Komsomolets Island. The archipelago is known for its harsh climate, with ice and snow covering much of its surface year-round.
The islands of Severnaya Zemlya are largely uninhabited and are part of the Russian Federation. They were first discovered in the late 19th century and have been the subject of scientific research due to their unique Arctic ecosystems. The region is also significant for its geological features and wildlife.
