Scottish Governance
Scottish governance refers to the political system and institutions that manage the affairs of Scotland. It operates under a devolved government structure, meaning that certain powers are transferred from the UK Parliament to the Scottish Parliament. This allows Scotland to make decisions on various issues, including education, health, and justice.
The Scottish Parliament, located in Edinburgh, is the main legislative body responsible for creating laws and overseeing the government. It consists of Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) who are elected by the public. The First Minister leads the government and is responsible for implementing policies and representing Scotland both domestically and internationally.
