Sambhaji Maharaj
Sambhaji Maharaj was the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, ruling from 1681 to 1689. He was the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the empire, and played a crucial role in continuing his father's legacy. Known for his bravery and military skills, Sambhaji faced numerous challenges from the Mughal Empire during his reign.
Sambhaji was also a patron of arts and culture, promoting the Marathi language and literature. His reign, although short, was marked by significant resistance against Mughal forces, showcasing his commitment to the Maratha cause. He was captured and executed by the Mughals, becoming a symbol of valor and sacrifice.
