Sam Nujoma
Sam Nujoma is a Namibian politician and a key figure in the country's struggle for independence from South African rule. Born on May 12, 1929, he became the first President of Namibia, serving from 1990 to 2005. Nujoma was a founding member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), which played a significant role in the liberation movement.
