Religious Zionist
Religious Zionism is a movement that combines Jewish religious beliefs with the idea of establishing and supporting a Jewish state in Israel. It emerged in the late 19th century, advocating for the return of Jews to their ancestral homeland as a fulfillment of biblical prophecies. Followers believe that the land of Israel holds spiritual significance and is integral to Jewish identity.
This movement emphasizes the importance of both faith and nationalism, encouraging observance of Jewish law while actively participating in the political and social life of Israel. Religious Zionists often support the settlement of Jews in the West Bank and other areas, viewing it as a religious duty and a means of strengthening the Jewish presence in the land.
