National Religious Party
The National Religious Party (NRP) was a political party in Israel founded in 1956. It represented the interests of the Religious Zionist community and aimed to integrate Jewish religious values with the political landscape of the country. The party played a significant role in Israeli politics, particularly in coalition governments, advocating for issues such as settlement expansion and Jewish education.
In 2004, the NRP merged with the National Union to form a new party called the Jewish Home. This merger aimed to strengthen the representation of religious Zionism in Israeli politics. The NRP's legacy continues to influence the political discourse surrounding religious and national identity in Israel.
