Queen Eleanor
Queen Eleanor, often referred to as Eleanor of Aquitaine, was a powerful and influential figure in the 12th century. Born around 1122, she was the daughter of William X, Duke of Aquitaine. Eleanor became the queen consort of Louis VII of France and later married Henry II of England, making her a key player in the politics of both countries.
Eleanor was known for her intelligence, strong will, and political acumen. She had eight children, including notable figures like Richard the Lionheart and John of England. Throughout her life, she played a significant role in the Crusades and was a patron of the arts, leaving a lasting legacy in medieval history.
