Purva Mīmāṃsā
Purva Mīmāṃsā is an ancient Indian philosophical system that focuses on the interpretation of the Vedas, particularly the rituals and duties prescribed in them. It emphasizes the importance of performing rituals correctly to achieve desired outcomes, such as prosperity and spiritual merit.
The system is attributed to the sage Jaimini and is one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy. Purva Mīmāṃsā explores concepts like dharma (duty) and the nature of action, arguing that understanding and executing Vedic rituals is essential for maintaining cosmic order and personal well-being.
