Psamtik II
Psamtik II was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who ruled during the 26th Dynasty, around 595 to 589 BCE. He was the son of Psamtik I and continued his father's efforts to strengthen Egypt's economy and military. His reign is noted for its stability and the revival of trade, particularly with Greece and Phoenicia.
During his rule, Psamtik II focused on restoring temples and promoting the worship of the gods, which was essential for maintaining social order. He also faced challenges from foreign powers, including the Babylonians, but managed to maintain Egypt's independence during his short reign.
