Princess Sophie of Bavaria was born on January 27, 1805, in Munich, Bavaria. She was the daughter of King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria and Princess Caroline of Baden. Sophie became known for her intelligence and artistic talents, particularly in music and painting. In 1824, she married King Otto of Greece, becoming the Queen of Greece. Her reign was marked by political instability in Greece, and she often supported her husband during challenging times. Sophie was also involved in charitable activities, focusing on education and healthcare for the Greek people. She passed away on May 28, 1872.
