Princess Blanche of Namur
Princess Blanche of Namur was a noblewoman born around 1320 in the County of Namur, which is now part of modern-day Belgium. She was the daughter of John I, Count of Namur and Marie of France. Blanche is known for her marriage to Philip VI of France, which helped strengthen ties between the County of Namur and the French crown.
Blanche's life was marked by her role as a queen consort of France from 1328 until her death in 1347. She had several children, including John II of France, who later became king. Her legacy is intertwined with the early years of the Valois dynasty.
