President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been the leader of Egypt since June 2014. He came to power after leading a military coup in 2013 that removed former President Mohamed Morsi. El-Sisi was elected in a presidential election that followed his coup, and he has since been re-elected in 2018.
Under el-Sisi's leadership, Egypt has focused on economic reforms and infrastructure development. His government has faced criticism for its human rights record and restrictions on political opposition. Despite these challenges, el-Sisi remains a significant figure in Middle Eastern politics and has sought to strengthen Egypt's role in the region.
