Egyptian Revolution
The Egyptian Revolution refers to a series of protests and demonstrations that took place in Egypt starting in January 2011. Citizens demanded the resignation of long-time President Hosni Mubarak, who had been in power for nearly 30 years. The movement was fueled by widespread dissatisfaction with government corruption, economic issues, and lack of political freedom.
The revolution was part of the broader wave of protests known as the Arab Spring, which spread across the Arab world. After 18 days of protests in Tahrir Square, Mubarak resigned on February 11, 2011, leading to a period of political transition and uncertainty in the country.
