Ossetic language
The Ossetic language is an Eastern Iranian language spoken primarily in North Ossetia-Alania and South Ossetia, regions located in the Caucasus. It is part of the Indo-European language family and has two main dialects: Iron and Digor. Ossetic uses the Cyrillic script, which was adopted in the 20th century.
Ossetic has a rich literary tradition, with roots tracing back to the ancient Scythian and Sarmatian cultures. The language has been influenced by neighboring languages, including Georgian and Russian. Today, efforts are being made to preserve and promote Ossetic culture and language through education and media.
