Oscar I
Oscar I was the King of Sweden and Norway from 1844 until his death in 1859. He was born on January 4, 1799, and was the son of Charles XIV John of Sweden. Oscar I is known for promoting liberal reforms and modernization in both countries, including improvements in education and infrastructure.
