Numidian
The term "Numidian" refers to the ancient people who inhabited the region of Numidia, located in North Africa, primarily in what is now Algeria and parts of Tunisia. The Numidians were known for their skilled cavalry and played a significant role in the conflicts between the Roman Republic and other powers in the Mediterranean.
Numidia was divided into two main kingdoms: Massylii in the east and Massaesyli in the west. The Numidians were often allied with the Romans, especially during the Punic Wars, and their leaders, such as Jugurtha, became notable figures in Roman history.
