Massylii
Massylii was an ancient Berber tribe that inhabited the region of North Africa, particularly in what is now modern-day Algeria. They were known for their agricultural practices and played a significant role in the history of the area during the time of the Roman Empire. The Massylii were often in conflict with neighboring tribes and were involved in various alliances and wars.
The Massylii are often associated with the famous Carthaginian general Hannibal, who was of Carthaginian descent. Their interactions with the Carthaginian Empire and later the Romans significantly influenced the political landscape of North Africa. The tribe's legacy is reflected in historical texts and archaeological findings that provide insight into their culture and way of life.
