Nguyễn Phúc Bảo Long was the last emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty in Vietnam. Born on October 22, 1936, he was the son of Emperor Bảo Đại and Empress Nam Phương. Bảo Long ascended to the throne in 1949 but was only a child at the time, and his reign was largely symbolic due to the political turmoil in Vietnam. After the fall of the monarchy in 1955, Bảo Long went into exile. He lived in various countries, including France and the United States, before returning to Vietnam in the 1990s. He passed away on July 30, 2007, in Paris, France.
