Bảo Đại
Bảo Đại was the last emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty in Vietnam, reigning from 1926 until 1945. Born on October 22, 1913, he was educated in France and returned to Vietnam to take the throne. His reign was marked by political instability and the growing influence of French colonialism.
In 1945, following the end of World War II, Bảo Đại abdicated in favor of the Viet Minh, a communist-led movement. He later lived in exile in France and returned to Vietnam briefly in the 1940s. Bảo Đại passed away on July 30, 1997, in France.
