NASA's Perseverance rover
NASA's Perseverance rover is a robotic vehicle designed to explore the surface of Mars. Launched on July 30, 2020, it landed in the Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021. Its primary mission is to search for signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for future return to Earth.
The rover is equipped with advanced scientific instruments, including cameras, spectrometers, and a drill. It also carries the Ingenuity helicopter, which has successfully demonstrated powered flight on another planet. Together, they aim to enhance our understanding of Mars' geology and climate, paving the way for future human exploration.
