Muscle Tears
Muscle tears, also known as muscle strains, occur when muscle fibers are overstretched or torn. This injury can happen during physical activities, such as sports or heavy lifting, and is often classified into three grades: Grade I (mild), Grade II (moderate), and Grade III (severe). Symptoms typically include pain, swelling, and limited movement in the affected area.
Treatment for muscle tears usually involves rest, ice, compression, and elevation, commonly referred to as the RICE method. In more severe cases, physical therapy or surgery may be necessary to promote healing and restore function. Proper warm-up and stretching can help prevent these injuries.
