Mount of Beatitudes
The Mount of Beatitudes is a hill located in northern Israel, near the shores of the Sea of Galilee. It is traditionally recognized as the site where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount, a collection of teachings that includes the famous Beatitudes. The area is characterized by lush gardens and scenic views, making it a popular pilgrimage destination.
The mount stands about 200 meters above sea level and is part of a larger region known for its historical and religious significance. A church, called the Church of the Beatitudes, was built on the site in the 1930s to commemorate this important event in Christian tradition.
