Mercury spacecraft
The Mercury spacecraft refers to a series of missions designed to explore the planet Mercury, the closest planet to the Sun. The most notable of these missions is MESSENGER, which launched in 2004 and entered orbit around Mercury in 2011. It provided valuable data about the planet's surface, magnetic field, and geological history.
Another significant mission is the BepiColombo, a joint project by the European Space Agency and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency). Launched in 2018, it aims to study Mercury's composition, atmosphere, and magnetic field, enhancing our understanding of this unique planet and its formation.
