Margaret Wake
Margaret Wake was a notable figure in the 14th century, known for her role as the wife of Edward, the Black Prince. Born around 1340, she was the daughter of John Wake, a prominent English nobleman. Margaret's marriage to Edward in 1361 strengthened political alliances and solidified her family's status in the English court.
Margaret Wake was also the mother of Richard II, who became king of England at a young age. Throughout her life, she was involved in various courtly activities and was recognized for her influence and support of her husband's military campaigns during the Hundred Years' War.
