Margaret of Anjou
Margaret of Anjou was a queen consort of England, born in 1430 in France. She was the daughter of René of Anjou, a French king, and became the wife of Henry VI of England in 1445. Her marriage was intended to strengthen ties between England and France during the tumultuous period of the Hundred Years' War.
Margaret played a significant role in the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne. As a strong and determined leader, she fought fiercely for her husband's claim to the throne against the rival Yorkists. Her efforts and resilience made her a notable figure in English history.
