Manobo
The Manobo are an indigenous group primarily found in the southern Philippines, particularly in the regions of Mindanao. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes traditional music, dance, and crafts. The Manobo people speak various dialects of the Manobo language, which is part of the larger Austronesian language family.
Historically, the Manobo have been engaged in agriculture, hunting, and gathering. They practice shifting cultivation and often grow crops like rice, corn, and root vegetables. The community is organized into clans, and their social structure is deeply influenced by their beliefs in animism and ancestral spirits.
