Lu State
Lu State was an ancient Chinese state during the Spring and Autumn period, existing from approximately 1046 to 256 BCE. It was located in what is now part of Shandong Province. The state was known for its cultural and philosophical contributions, particularly through its association with the philosopher Confucius, who was born there.
The capital of Lu State was Qufu, which later became famous as the birthplace of Confucius. The state played a significant role in the political landscape of ancient China, often engaging in alliances and conflicts with neighboring states. Its eventual decline led to its absorption by the larger state of Qi.
