Lord Curzon of Kedleston
Lord Curzon of Kedleston was a British statesman who served as the Viceroy of India from 1899 to 1905. He was known for his efforts to modernize India’s infrastructure, including the construction of roads, railways, and irrigation systems. Curzon also focused on preserving India's cultural heritage by establishing the Archaeological Survey of India and promoting the restoration of historical sites.
Curzon was born on January 1859 and was educated at Oxford University. After his tenure in India, he continued to have a significant political career, including serving as the Foreign Secretary in the British government. He was made a Marquess in 1921 and passed away in 1925.
