Little Penguins
Little Penguins, also known as Fairy Penguins, are the smallest species of penguin, standing about 12 to 13 inches tall. They are native to the southern coasts of Australia and New Zealand. These birds have a distinctive blue and white plumage, which helps them blend into the ocean when viewed from above.
Little Penguins primarily feed on small fish and squid, hunting in groups. They are known for their unique behavior of returning to shore at dusk, creating a charming sight as they waddle to their burrows. Their population is affected by habitat loss and predation from introduced species.
