King Paul of Greece
King Paul of Greece was born on December 14, 1901, and reigned as the King of the Hellenes from 1947 until his death in 1964. He was the son of King Constantine I and Queen Sophia of Greece. His reign was marked by the challenges of post-World War II recovery and the Greek Civil War, which lasted from 1946 to 1949.
During his time as king, Paul worked to stabilize the country and strengthen its ties with the West, particularly with the United States and NATO. He was known for his diplomatic efforts and played a significant role in modernizing the Greek monarchy.
