King Constantine II of Greece
King Constantine II of Greece was born on June 2, 1940, and became the last reigning monarch of Greece. He ascended to the throne in 1964 after the death of his father, King Paul I. His reign was marked by political turmoil, including a military coup in 1967, which led to his exile.
After years in exile, Constantine returned to Greece in 1974, but the monarchy was abolished shortly thereafter. He lived in various countries, including Italy and London, and remained a prominent figure in Greek history until his death on January 10, 2023.
