King Constantine II of Greece was born on June 2, 1940, and became the last reigning monarch of Greece. He ascended to the throne in 1964 after the death of his father, King Paul I. After years in exile, Constantine returned to Greece in 1974, but the monarchy was abolished shortly thereafter.
