King Henry VII of England
King Henry VII of England was the first monarch of the Tudor dynasty, ruling from 1485 to 1509. He came to power after defeating King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field, which marked the end of the Wars of the Roses. Henry's reign is noted for establishing a strong central government and reducing the power of the nobility.
Henry VII is also known for his efforts to strengthen the economy and promote trade. He married Elizabeth of York, uniting the warring houses of Lancaster and York. His children included Henry VIII, who would later become one of England's most famous kings.
