Kanva dynasty
The Kanva dynasty was an ancient Indian dynasty that ruled from around 75 BCE to 30 BCE. It was established after the fall of the Shunga dynasty and is known for its relatively short reign. The dynasty was founded by Vasudeva Kanva, who overthrew the last Shunga king, Devabhuti.
The Kanva dynasty is notable for its contributions to literature and culture during its rule. Although not much is known about its kings, the dynasty is often remembered for its efforts to restore stability in northern India after the decline of the Shungas. The Kanvas eventually fell to the Andhra dynasty.
