Kanchanjunga
Kanchanjunga is the third highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,586 meters (28,169 feet) above sea level. It is located in the eastern Himalayas, straddling the border between Nepal and India. The mountain is part of the Kanchanjunga National Park, which is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes.
The name "Kanchanjunga" translates to "Five Treasures of Snow," referring to its five peaks. It is revered in both Hindu and Buddhist cultures, with many considering it sacred. The first successful ascent was made in 1955 by a British expedition led by George Band.
