John Murray, 4th Duke of Atholl
John Murray, 4th Duke of Atholl (1729–1774), was a Scottish nobleman known for his role in the {House of Lords} and his influence in Scottish politics. He inherited the title from his father, the 3rd Duke, and was involved in various political matters during his lifetime, including supporting the {Jacobite cause}.
The 4th Duke was also notable for his extensive landholdings in {Scotland}, particularly in the {Highlands}. He was a patron of the arts and contributed to the development of his estates, including the construction of {Blair Castle}, which remains a significant historical site today.
